Franz marc:covered artists

Franz Marc (February 8, 1880 – March 4, 1916) was a German painter and printmaker, one of the key figures of the German Expressionist movement. He was a founding member of Der Blaue Reiter (The Blue Rider), a journal whose name later became synonymous with the circle of artists collaborating in it.

the pieces of franz marc are cubist with angular edges and shapes the idea of taking an object and simplifying it to make it appear extraordinary or more surreal.Again like Théophile Alexandre Steinlen he uses a limited colour scheme, mostly using ochre colours or colours of the earth. The use shadow reflects greatly within these pieces creating depth to the work and that is what I am incororating into my work the use of shadows.
